Overview
Switchback has 5 corners, 3 right-hand and 2 left-hand, turning through 600° in total on a 246 m lap. The tightest corner has a 12 m radius, and there are 2 hairpins. At 18 m wide it is one of the narrowest tracks in the game, where one wall touch ends the run.
To beat the target you need an average of 30.0 s a lap. Corners swap direction, so the transitions between them decide the lap.
Corner by corner
| # | Corner | Turns | Angle | Radius | How to take it |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Hairpin 1 | right | 180° | 12 m | Hairpin. Brake before it, flick the handbrake early and rotate the car hard; drive out on the throttle. |
| 2 | Chicane | left | 60° | 16 m | Kink / flick. Barely a corner: a quick weight swing, keep the throttle pinned and link it into the next one. |
| 3 | right | 120° | 16 m | Medium. Tap in before the apex and hold a moderate angle with the throttle. | |
| 4 | left | 60° | 16 m | Kink / flick. Barely a corner: a quick weight swing, keep the throttle pinned and link it into the next one. | |
| 5 | Hairpin 2 | right | 180° | 12 m | Hairpin. Brake before it, flick the handbrake early and rotate the car hard; drive out on the throttle. |

Tips
- Drive one clean lap first: any wall contact restarts the run, and your ghost only records runs you finish.
- Once you have a personal best, race its ghost and watch the checkpoint splits to find the corner that costs you time.
- On a track this narrow, a smaller angle and an earlier entry are faster than a heroic slide.
- New to the technique? How to drift with a keyboard covers handbrake entry, counter-steer and linking.
