The game
How it plays
One car, one camera straight down, and a handbrake. Every track is a short time attack you will want to run again.
- 01
Slide, don't grip
Flick the handbrake into a corner, catch the slide with counter-steer and feed the throttle to hold the angle. The car is built to go sideways.
- 02
Chain it for points
Points come from speed and angle. Stay sideways and the multiplier climbs by ×0.5 every 1.5 seconds, up to ×10. Straighten up for more than half a second and the drift banks.
- 03
Three laps, one target
Every track is a three-lap time attack against a target time. Beat it and the next track unlocks. Touch a wall and the run starts over.
- 04
Race your ghost
Your personal best rides along as a ghost car, so you can see exactly where the time went.
- 05
One board per track
Pick a driver name, first come first served, and your fastest run goes on that track's online leaderboard.
- 06
Share the run
Every finish makes a result card with your time and rank, ready to post on X.

Questions
FAQ
Is DRIFTIT free?
Yes. It runs in your browser: no download, no install and no account.
Can I play it on a phone?
Driving needs a keyboard or a gamepad, so play on a computer. There are no touch controls.
Which browsers does it run in?
Any current desktop browser with WebGL 2: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
How do I unlock more tracks?
Beat a track's target time over three laps and the next one opens. Your unlocks, personal bests and ghosts are saved in your browser.
How does the leaderboard work?
One entry per driver per track: your fastest three-lap total. Names are claimed on first use and stay yours on the device you claimed them from.
What happens when I hit a wall?
On a timed track any wall contact ends the run and it restarts from the grid, so clean lines pay. In the free-roam playground you just lose the drift you were holding.
